Everything a first-timer wonders about flying in Bir Billing. Still unsure? Just call or WhatsApp us.
None at all. Every flight is a tandem: a certified pilot flies the wing and handles take-off and landing. You just run a few steps at launch and enjoy the view.
It's one of the most established sites in the world. Our pilots are certified, gear is inspected on a documented cycle, and flights only launch when wind and visibility are within safe limits. If a day is grounded for weather, we rebook you free.
The prime seasons are March–June and October to mid-November, when thermals and visibility are best. Flying is suspended during the monsoon (July–September) for safety.
The tandem flight itself is about 15–30 minutes in the air. Our packages differ by the trip around it: a 1-day flight, a 2-day camping stay, or a 3-day Rajgundha trek that ends with a flight.
As a guide, fliers are usually 12–65 years and roughly 25–110 kg, subject to the pilot's assessment on the day. Tell us any medical conditions (heart, back, recent surgery, pregnancy) when booking so we can advise.
Yes, GoPro video and photos are included on every package, filmed by your pilot on a selfie mount and handed over after you land.
You come to Bir; we drive you the ~14 km up the mountain road to the Billing take-off at 2,400 m. You land back in the Bir meadow, close to town.
Safety comes first. If conditions don't clear the launch, we reschedule your flight to another slot at no extra cost.
Send your package, date and party size on WhatsApp, or call us. A pilot confirms your slot. There's no online payment; you pay at the launch site.
Glasses are fine (a strap helps). You can bring your own action camera, though we also film you; just secure anything you carry, as loose items can drop in flight.
